Today, being the 24th of April, 2023, during the traditional Monday Rector’s mass, the Fr. Rector, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Albert Ikpenwa, blessed a grand organ which was donated to the Seminary by the one of the friends of the father Rector from The United Kingdom. The Rector in his brief introduction before the Mass, described the organ as not being only a western instrument but has also evolved as a very important liturgical instrument in the Church and so enjoys a pride of place amongst other liturgical instruments. This is therefore a welcome development for the seminary as the organ will highly improve the level and quality of music and prayer in the Bigard Chapel and just as St. Augustine asserts, “He who sings well prays twice.” The Seminary family thanks the donor and prays for more of God’s choicest blessings on the donor.
