St. Paul’s Hostel which was built as a multipurpose block, also contained the first lecture rooms. However, following the building of a new refectory, lecture room block in 1973 by Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. N. Ogbonna, hence St. Paul’s Block was decongested. The movement of the philosophy faculty back to Enugu in 1989 made it imperative that a new classroom block had to be erected. Thus a three-story block containing six lecture rooms was commissioned at the tail end of 1989 by Very Rev. Fr. Peter D. Akpunonu.
